First learnt about the Green Bay & Western after purchasing the Pentrex DVD on a whim. Norwood Yard diagram that you published now explains much of the footage on that Pentrex program... Many thanks sir

I am building a freelance short line railroad set in the 1930s in northern Wisconsin in HO scale. I found this site while researching images and information about railroading in that location and era, and it offers a lot of helpful information that I expect to use to add some realism to my own freelance line. I expect that the GB&W would be a likely source of interchange traffic for my freelance line. Thank you for collecting this information and making it available!

Admin reply: You're welcome! I didn't create it alone — I've had lots of contributors who have made the web site what it is today.

Stumbled on this site looking for GBW cabooses in the 1960's painted other than yellow. This site was greatly appreciated. My family (mother's side) goes back many generations on the Green Bay and I am modeling it in HO. Not a great deal of equipment available, nor decals, either.

Rob

Admin reply: Thanks for visiting! We'd love to see some of your models.

The scale is too small for my old eyes but I love the concept!

What a nice website, Mark! It is clean, well-organized and has a ton of great, varied content. Nice way to honor the GB&W! I could only dream that others could be as creative and diligent in creating websites for other 'fallen flag' railroads. Thanks for sharing this with all of us!

I am the grandson of Robert (Bob) Anunson who was a yard master (not sure fit he term is correct) and dispatcher for the Green Bay and Western back in the 50's, 60's and early 70's. I am interested in documentation that has his name on it and possibly HO model engines and cars. I rode in a engine briefly with him in about 1965 in the yards in Green Bay. I love learning more about the railroad and my Grandpa!! :)

Recently purchased bachmann 2-6-0 based on Gbw prototype.
Great little runner and track plan of Iola branch would suit my preferences well. Unfortunately in appears nobody currently in business produces GbwDecals. Is this correct.

John

Admin reply: HO or N scale?
DM Custom decals produces steam loco decals in HO scale.
